Dutch student visa

Dutch student visa

Student visa applications for the Netherlands must be submitted to the Embassy of the Netherlands in Hanoi, and applications are processed in the Netherlands before the visa is stamped in Hanoi. The typical processing time is 8-12 weeks. Students may apply for a Dutch study visa or a Schengen visa.

Required documents for a Dutch student visa:

  • Personal and academic documents of the student
  • English proficiency certificate with a minimum score of IELTS 5.0 (mandatory)
  • Proof of financial resources for the student’s study in the Netherlands
  • Offer letter from the institution, accompanied by the invoice showing the tuition deposit has been paid
  • Visa application form (paper form collected from the Dutch Visa Office)
  • Visa application fee

All documents must be translated into English or Dutch, notarized, and completed according to the required visa forms. Duc Anh EduConnect will guide you through preparation and review your documents before submission to the visa office.

Visa application steps

  • Complete your school application and obtain the offer letter / tuition deposit invoice
  • Translate and review all documents; complete the visa application form
  • Submit the application by appointment
  • Receive notification of the visa result
  • If your visa is approved by the Netherlands, you will pay the remaining tuition fee required by the school, finalize all procedures, receive your visa, and schedule your flight/intake
  • If your visa is not approved, the school will refund the tuition fee to the student, minus administrative and banking charges

Important Notes: Although the visa application process is relatively straightforward, there are specific requirements set by the school and the Embassy that must be met. Duc Anh EduConnect will support students in preparing accurate, complete, and appropriate documents to ensure the highest chance of visa approval.
